What is the process for bringing home a puppy?
Step 1: Ask Questions
If you are interested in a puppy or have any questions, please contact us! I'd love to meet you and answer any questions you have to see if my program would be a good fit for you!
Step 2: Application
Once you are ready to apply, take a minute to fill out the quick application on our website - the more information you can give me, the better! And we can discuss any other questions you have as well!
Step 3: Reservation Fee
When you are ready and have all your questions answered, and are approved for a Centerpiece Puppy, I can accept your deposit of $500 to hold your spot on our master waitlist. I do not reserve spots on particular litters before they are born. Having a master waitlist allows us some flexibility for things we cant control - such as litter size, color/markings, gender, etc.
Step 4: Litter Commitment (anytime after 2 weeks)
When puppies of a particular litter are 2 weeks old, I will go down the master waitlist and ask for a commitment to the litter until all spots are filled. Waiting until puppies are 2 weeks gives you the opportunity to see the puppies (genders, colors, litter size, etc), and watch them grow up a little bit before you have to make a commitment!
Step 5: Temperment Testing and Vet Checks (7 weeks)
Temperament assessments and vet checks will be preformed at 7 weeks, and the information shared with you so you will have the opportunity to review that information before selection!
Step 6: Selection and Take Home (8 weeks)
Selection and pick up will now be a combined date! We will schedule a selection day on the weekend after puppies turn 8 weeks old! Each deposit-holder will be invited by appointment, in order of deposits placed to meet the puppies, select their puppy, and bring their puppy home! If you are not able to attend this selection day in person, we can use your time slot to do a virtual meet and greet/selection!
Bonus: Daily and Weekly Updates
One of the unique qualities about our program, is that we try to share the whole growing up process with you!! I will update this website with weekly photos, and my Facebook and Instagram page with daily photos, and/or videos in my stories so that you can be a part of your puppy's first 8 weeks as much as possible, from before birth, all the way until go home day! We also send out weekly email updates, including tips and suggestions for preparing for your new pup!
This is a newer system for us, but we are making this change so that we can truly optimize matching you with your perfect puppy, and giving you as much information as possible to make the best choice for you! Waiting until the puppies are 8 weeks old also helps the puppies' health and delicate immune systems!
Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. except for in extreme circumstances.
The total remainder of the payment is due at or before puppy pickup!
I can take deposit and remainder via Cash, Card through Square (fees apply), Venmo (free), PayPal (fees apply), CashApp (free) or Zelle (free).
What's Included?
Most importantly, our puppies are handled, loved, and touched every single day from birth. We implement Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) daily starting at 3 days old and going until 16 days old. We also do daily exposure activities to acclimate them to the idea that the world is safe, dogs are friendly and people are kind (inspired by the BA Breeder early socialization schedule). They are very well socialized by children and adults alike - these puppies are lovers! They are started on potty training (learning to keep their sleep and playing area clean) starting as soon as their eyes open and they can eliminate on their own, and are exposed to kennel training. They spend plenty of time with each other, to learn to play nice, and lots of time with mom to learn their manners!
Puppies will of course come vet checked with a genetic health guarantee to go with our Purchase Agreement, a bill of health from our vet, UTD on shots and de-wormings, microchipped with microchip registration papers, and 30 days of free pet insurance through Trupanion. We have also partnered with Baxter&Bella online puppy/dog-training school! They will also come with a puppy collar and a retractable leash (for easy leash training), a toy/blanket that smells like home, some grooming supplies, a keepsake, and other paperwork and goodies. We will both sign a copy of the Puppy Purchase Agreement, so please read over that prior to picking up your pup!
What if I don't live in Colorado?
What's a more perfect excuse for a little road trip to our beautiful state! If you aren't up for that, please reach out, we may be able to offer delivery for a reasonable fee!
Many airlines allow small puppies to fly in the cab with their human for about $95 or so! Fly in yourself, and rent a car to come see us, or we can meet you at the airport with your new puppy! If you don't want to fly in yourself, please reach out, we can deliver your pup to your local airport for a fee!
There are so many ways to get your pup safely home to you! Whether you live near or far, we would love to match you with your perfect puppy!
If I place a deposit, is it refundable?
Your deposit is not refundable, but it is always 100% transferable to a future litter!
Can I come visit the puppies?
We do not allow visitation until puppies are 8 weeks old! We also require a completed and approved application prior to visitation!
